Gotcha! It's Copper, our new brown & white Shih Tzu. He's a little over a year old & weighs 13 pounds.
A friend of mine from high school, Shannon, knew what we were looking for & contacted me when little Copper needed a home. He was at a kill shelter in Wise County & Day 3 was fast approaching. Jill & I went to pick him up first thing the next morning. The little dog was so excited. It was if he knew he was being rescued & taken home. Unfortunately, he smelled really bad, but had already been cleaned up & didn't have fleas or knots in his fur. His first stop was Glamour Paws, where we take Nickel, to get groommed and then we went to the vet. Dr. Gumphory thinks Copper was probably hit by a car but can easily be fixed up. Nickel is tolerating his new fur-brother much better than I expected & is teaching him the daily routine. Copper doesn't play with toys yet or with Nickel, he is happy just getting his belly scratched!
